CAHF 2009 Tradeshow

Monday, November 30th, 2009

BEnvironmental representatives recently enjoyed their first CAHF Long-Term Facilities Conference in Palm Springs, California.

As the tradeshow progressed, it was evident that interest in our sanitation and odor control products was very high, and many samples of B-Urine Free were given to attendees.

Long-term care facility professionals know 52% of the residents experience bladder incontinence. Issues of odor control and staining become staggering as time goes on without it being addressed. Visitors to the BEnvironmental booth at the CAHF tradeshow found solutions to both sanitation and odor issues.

B-Sanitized:

B-Sanitized provides long-term care professionals with a rapid method for disinfecting all exposed surfaces in a room up to 6,000 cubic feet. With a full release canister of B-Sanitized a room can be disinfected of all kinds of viruses, bacteria, mold and fungus.

Vaporize:

With many sources of foul odors in long-term care facilities, Vaporize provides relief by capturing odor molecules with essential oils, eliminating odor on contact. Vaporize is dispensed in a full-release canister filling a room with an odor eliminating vapor that clears in 45 minutes. All kinds of odors are eliminated including tobacco, garbage and pet odors.

B-Urine Free:

Many visitors to the BEnvironmental booth at the CAHF tradeshow were exited to receive free samples of B-Urine Free. Many of the visitors had stories of troubles with patients with incontinence, and were glad to know that B-Urine Free removes urine stains and odor. Live bacteria in B-Urine Free digest uric acid crystals that are the primary source of urine odors and stains. The bacteria also consume the odor and staining agents from milk and vomit.

Tech Topic: Grease Interceptors

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Check out this article about grease interceptors features in Reeves Journal:

Grease. When food is prepared in that little Mom-and-Pop diner down the street, at a four-star restaurant, or in the kitchen of a hospital or prison, grease happens. A lot of fat, oil, and grease.

Anyone who started out their working life asking, “Do you want fries with that?” has an inkling of how much of the slippery stuff a fast food franchise can crank out in a day. Imagine the volume of FOG (fat, oil, grease) an entire nation of restaurants and commercial and institutional food service can produce, and you’ll get a sense of how serious the job of keeping this sludge out of our water and sewer treatment systems has become. Removing FOG before it can reach these pipelines to these facilities becomes more critical every day.

On the front lines, this dirty job falls to the “grease interceptor”—the last line of defense between us and a virtual ocean of FOG. This month we talked with experts in the field about how grease interceptors work, where and how they are used, and the implications to public health and the environment of how these products are selected, installed and maintained.

B-Sanitized™ fogger can help disinfect a room in as little as 15 minutes

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (Grassroots Newswire) May 6, 2009 — American Leak Detection, through its B Environmental brand of service offerings, has launched a significant weapon in the battle against H1N1 A Influenza (commonly known as Swine Flu). B-Sanitized™ is a disinfectant fogger that, within minutes, disinfects all exposed room surfaces through the release of a fine sanitizer mist.

“Offices, schools, daycare centers, clinics, hospitals, and practically every enclosed work place, are a hub for the transmission of germs and infection, often by people who aren’t aware they are sick yet,” says John Davis, Director of Corporate Operations. “Cleaning surfaces and washing hands are very important measures to help prevent the spread of germs,” he explains. “Employers have a responsibility and vested interest to protect their employees, and while education and awareness are steps in the right direction, actions speak louder than words.”

Cleaning every surface in a room by conventional methods is difficult and time consuming. B-Sanitized is an EPA-registered solution that can disinfect an entire room in minutes. At the end of the work day, simply release the cap and place the pressurized canister in the middle of the room to be disinfected. Within 15 minutes, the total release fogger distributes the environmentally responsible disinfectant throughout the room, effectively sanitizing exposed surfaces such as floors, walls, desks, and ceilings.

B-Sanitized is EPA-certified effective against Influenza A viruses including H1N1 A Influenza. It is also effective against HIV, herpes, tuberculosis, bird flu, E-coli, mold, and Hepatitis B & C, among others.

The B Environmental program focuses on hygiene, odor control, wastestream efficiency and can propose a multitude of proactive solutions for commercial and industrial markets.

Powerful microbes attack uric crystal buildup to maintain drain line health in public restrooms

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., April 2, 2009 – Restaurants and hotels, along with other commercial businesses, can now get cost effective and eco-friendly solutions to their drain line and odor problems as a result of the urinal treatment product Flow Fresh™.

Flow Fresh™ works by using a bio enzymatic formula that softens and breaks down uric crystals at the source thereby preventing blockages, backups and odors while deodorizing at the same time. With the use of Flow Fresh, businesses can also benefit from the reduction of water consumption by half a gallon per urinal per flush. The product works just as effectively on waterless urinals allowing the powerful microbes to keep urinals free flowing and odor free. To accommodate any business’ maintenance needs, Flow Fresh comes in two forms, an injection system or urinal screen system.
Casinos, airports, theme parks and other high traffic locations have already experienced the benefits of Flow Fresh. Dallas Fort Worth Airport, the fifth largest airport in the world with over 433 male urinals, implemented the Flow Fresh System™, and in just three short months, the airport experienced a 75% reduction in urinal failures. They have projected a direct savings of $86, 323 per year. This savings does not include their increased water savings.

“Any business with public restrooms typically struggles with ongoing issues related to drain blockages and odor. American Leak Detection, under the brand B Environmental now offers to these businesses cost effective solutions to their problems that will not harm the environment or infrastructure,” says Stan Berenbaum, President and CEO of American Leak Detection.

“The B Environmental program focuses on cleanliness, hygiene, and odor control and takes us from reactive to proactive by proposing a multitude of solutions for commercial and industrial markets.”

American Leak Detection utilizes specially trained experts and quality equipment to detect leaks before major home repairs are required. The company implements its own proprietary methods and technology to ensure the most non-invasive leak detection possible. Commercial and residential service is available.

American Leak Detection, Inc. Will Bring Cutting Edge Products and Services to the Area and Take Over Operation of Environmental Biotech Intl. Following Recent Corporate Alliance

Palm Springs, California (November 20, 2007) – American Leak Detection (ALD) has expanded into the Boston, Massachusetts area, announced today by President and CEO Stan Berenbaum. The company plans to take over operation of the existing Environmental Biotech Intl. as part of the move, creating a full-service agency for environmentally friendly products and services related to water management, water conservation and water recycling. The business will also offer all of the leak detection services for which American Leak Detection is known around the country.

Last month, American Leak Detection (ALD), the leading brand in non-invasive leak detection services, and Environmental Biotech International (EBI), a United Kingdom and United States headquartered leader in sewer, grease and odor solutions announced the first stage of a comprehensive long-term business alliance. The combination of services offered in Boston is an impressive first step in bringing the benefits of this alliance to the consumer.

“This expansion will enable us to not only continue to offer EBI bio remediation solutions to Boston area residents and businesses but also non-invasive leak detection services which have been in strong demand as of late,” says Stan Berenbaum, President and CEO of American Leak Detection.

Dennis Bashore will manage the Boston office. Bashore brings 27 years experience in the water treatment field and is adeptly skilled as a technician as well as in service management. “I look forward to utilizing my experience in service and installation to successfully run both arms of this combined solutions business,” says Bashore. “ALD and EBI demonstrate the strong commitment to offer a “one-stop-shop” for environmentally friendly products and services associated with water management and conservation, and I recognize the value of being a part of this great opportunity.”

ALD and EBI anticipate a variety of updates as their alliance grows, including a plan to work together in building a brand under the logo and concept of “B Environmental.” The B Environmental program focuses on conservation, cleanliness, hygiene, and odor control and takes us from reactive to proactive by proposing a multitude of solutions for residential, commercial and municipal markets – from retail in-home products to on-going maintenance solutions for commercial businesses and municipalities.

Two Eco-Friendly International Corporations Form Alliance of Leak and Draininage Services and Solutions

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

American Leak Detection, Inc. and Environmental Biotech Inc. Partner to Expand Products & Services Opportunities

Palm Springs, California (October 18, 2007) – American Leak Detection (ALD), the leading brand in non-invasive leak detection services, and Environmental Biotech International (EBI), a United Kingdom and United States headquartered leader in sewer, grease and odor solutions, are pleased to announce the first stage of a comprehensive long-term business alliance. Their joint vision will build a “one-stop-shop” for environmentally friendly products and services related to water management, water conservation and water recycling.

“The strategic opportunity is to enable our company-owned locations and 120 franchisees around the world to sell to our millions of customers not only non-invasive leak detection services but also a broad range of non-invasive solutions for difficult collateral problems stemming from decaying residential and commercial water and sewer infrastructure,” says Stan Berenbaum, President and CEO of American Leak Detection.

Environmental Biotech has a range of environmentally friendly products and services that eliminate fats from drains and solve other wastewater and odor problems. Many of its products and services are based on microbes that eat noxious substances, typically leaving behind nothing more than carbon dioxide and water. The process is called bio remediation and it is both more environmentally friendly than conventional solutions (harsh chemicals and drain company call-outs) and more cost effective too – so much so that companies such as McDonald’s are now regular users.

“When we started exploring the alliance, I immediately thought of the revolution that has already occurred in deploying environmentally-friendly bacteria to break-up oil slicks in the oceans,” noted Dr. Patrick DeSouza, CEO of Plain Sight Systems, an ALD technology and equity partner based at Yale University.

“Non-invasive scientific solutions in support of the world-wide green movement are valued by the marketplace at a premium,” DeSouza says. “And our Yale-trained technologists are fully committed to supporting the ALD and EBI product roadmap, especially in engineering a pro-active monitoring approach with the use of smart sensors.”

Under the terms of the alliance, ALD will operate EBI locations in the U.S. and ALD’s nationwide franchise network will be the primary point of distribution for EBI products. In turn, EBI will open ALD franchise locations throughout the United Kingdom. Aziz Tejpar, President of EBI, will lead the international expansion of both companies, capitalizing on his twenty years of experience in international business development and franchising. He says: “With the two businesses combined, there is a much better franchise proposition than either on its own because there is more in the portfolio and the offerings fit together naturally under the infrastructure and environmental banner.”

“We look forward to providing business leadership around the world, especially in developing countries where water management issues abound and a burgeoning middle class is demanding environmental leadership,” adds Tejpar. “One unfortunate by-product of food processing is the reality that waste composites corrode pipes and sewer lines. It really is the equivalent of heart disease for our collective infrastructure body.”

Tejpar further explains that beyond clogs, these byproducts also produce landfill problems in disposal. EBI’s naturally grown, biotech products address both dimensions in remediating the clogs into non-potable water that can then be recycled into useable water and even biofuels.

“We are delighted that the army of American Leak Detection service professionals can extend our product distribution throughout the United States and create a recurring maintenance solution to keep the pipes healthy,” says Tejpar.

The companies envision additional phases resulting from their relationship. Beyond creating a premium service for customers, they will both be working with Plain Sight Systems and Yale scientists to help shape the regulatory and policy environment to promote non-invasive and environmentally-friendly solutions. Dr. James Boyle, an advisor to this evolving environmental platform and a director of the Yale Office of Cooperative Research noted that “water management is a critical problem for our collective future and we are all challenged to find non-invasive technology solutions.”

ALD and EBI anticipate a variety of updates as their alliance grows, including a plan to work together in building a brand under the logo and concept of “B Environmental.” The B Environmental program focuses on cleanliness, hygiene, and odor control and takes us from reactive to proactive by proposing a multitude of solutions for residential, commercial and municipal markets – from retail in-home products to on-going maintenance solutions for commercial businesses and municipalities.
